wow. looks like this was about 2 months ago. i'd be interested to hear about the progress in convincing the management that testing and planning for testing is worth the time and effort. i've been to many testing conferences and it seems testers have a little bit of a battered ego, always trying to prove that they deserve to exist. i guess working at microsoft, you don't have this problem, but the sentiment is out there for sure. thanks for the link to that tool. looks very useful.

Let's not forget, some movies will never see the light of day due to professional confrontation, key actors and/or actresses walking off set, the director calling it quits, incomplete script, running over-budget with no more money in the pot.
This sadly occurs in the testing world, nothing sucks worse than a project put on indefinite hold due to one or all of the above reasons.
